We have arrived!
In our last post we were at the Kiva RV park and Horse Motel back in Bernardo, NM. After waking early, a few cups of coffee and a light breakfast, the rig was ready to roll. The last 100 miles made for an easy final segment of our trip. We rolled into T or C right on time and soon fond ourselves at our destination, Riverbend Hot Springs.
We rounded the corner and were no more than stopped at curbside when Jake came out and asked if we were Wayne and Rhonda. That was a good sign.

We were quickly directed to the newly updated RV sites. I will have a few more and much better pics of the RV sites in a future post, meanwhile know that these are very nice FHU sites which include the following;
Good clean power, 20, 30 and 50 AMP (NEW)
Most sites have cable TV
WIFI is included
Hot Springs / full access to public pools and a reduced rate for private pools is included with your stay.
I backed in and since the sites are level and have ample space, set up was quick and easy. After we freshened up we headed over to meet with Jake for some orientation. Due to schedules we were instructed to chill out for a few days and start training on Wednesday! Wow, that is great we can use a short break.
IMPORTANT; While the RV sites can NOT be reserved they are often open and I recommend call a day or two ahead, there will probably be space. This is a great place to stop along I-25, and sure beats boondocking in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The value is very good considering everything that is included.
Wednesday rolls around…
So we are set up and now in training, starting to get a handle on the reservation system and procedures. It will be a great pleasure to be part of the team here and to enjoy the benefits of this being ‘home’ through the winter. We are also very much looking forward to the things to see in the area, and there is a bunch.
Meanwhile, here are some pics of our first few days here. The resident cat, Minnow was very interested in our grilled salmon dinner last night.
So stay tuned, the winter adventures have just begun. There is a bunch to explore and we look forward to telling you all about it. Remember if your travels bring you down I-25 check in at Riverbend Hot Springs, you’ll be glad you did.
The next post will be a few final words on the Cell Booster project, the last part needed finally arrived and I will get things strung together and report the results before Monday.
Remember, Turn when the road does.
