Wow we have done a lot of stuff in a week.  Here is a re-cap.

Lifted the jacks and left our spot at Green Ridge campground.  The last couple of days were kind of surreal, the weather was changing noticeably and our friends Dave and Katie had already gone.  As soon as the truck was out of the shop we were gone.  Felt good to get some relief for a bad case of Hitch Itch.

So as we rolled through Kremmling a stop at the meat market for some smoked trout was on our list.  Then we continued toward Vail Pass.  Up and over but we did over heat again.  I have learned to carry two gallons of antifreeze just in case.  I am getting a handle on how the truck reacts and during the past few days there have been no more problems.  Anyway we continued toward our planned destination, and it was either not there any longer or I missed it, BLM along I-70 just past Gypsum.  We continued to Rifle and spent the night in a Walmart lot.

With an early start the next morning and a few more miles down the road than originally planned, we were soon taking exit 214 off I-70 and heading for the Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway.  This is part of a route suggested by Ingrid a few months ago when we were headed to Colorado.  She was right, it was very worth the drive.

So we rolled into Moab.  Two nights at the Ok RV Park, and we were busy the whole time.  Canyon Lands, Arches, and Moab.  I may add some pictures later but for now, here are some highlights.  We made note of some things we want to see next time through and will be back to the area again for sure.

Next stop was just south of Cortez, CO.  Decided to stay at the Ute Mountain Casino for a few nights.  It was really a great experience and a Passport America discount applied for the entire stay.  While we were there the list included Durango & Silverton as well as Mesa Verde.  We threw in an unexpected visit to the Vet with Toby and I am glad to report he is doing well.

We had a great time and again busy.  The choice to stay in locations with hook ups was mostly so we could leave the pups and not worry about them over heating, otherwise we may have boondocked.  We again made a few notes on things we will want to see next time through and soon headed down the road.  Next stop, Williams where we plan to have a three night stay to take a break and get a few days of just kicking back before the next leg of our journey.
